TESTIMONIALS
Dear Robbi and Scott:

What a marvelous concert we had on Sunday, in honor of Temple Beth Torah’s annual Hanukkah celebration. The two of you were able to sense the spirit of the audience, and provide just the right blend of music. With a room full of people ranging from infancy, adolescents, adults and seniors, there was something for everyone.

I’ve always enjoyed Robbi’s version of Eliyahu Ha-Navi, which I remember from your first CD, Toda L’Chem, as it gives a unique energy to a traditionally more somber melody. Scott’s Dodi Li was particularly moving. Still, you brought in the themes of Hanukkah in memorable ways, and I personally enjoyed competing with you in the Dreidel Schmaydel Challenge. Just when it seemed as if the young children had enough sitting, you got everyone moving with Sivivon. The timing was so good that I was hardly surprised by the standing ovation and calls for “encore,” leading to a beautifully appropriate finale of Shechechiyanu.

Temple Beth Torah members and guests will remember this Hanukkah for a long time. Thank you for bringing your unique ruach to our community. We look forward to connecting again in the future.

B’shalom and chag samayach,

Dear Robbi and Scott,
I couldn’t let even a day pass without letting you both know how thoroughly we
all enjoyed our weekend of music and ruach. Robbi’s heartfelt participation in
our Shabbat worship, and the energy and musicianship both of you brought to
the concerts on Sunday were simply incredible.

I’ve only heard good things about the quality of the music, and I’ve heard
plenty of that. But you should know that, as much as my congregation loved
your music, they loved you even more. Simply put, you won the hearts of everyone who met you at Temple Mount Sinai.

On a personal note: thank you for your willingness to share the stage (and the
bima) with local talent. It’s rare to come across a performer (let alone two!)
who are so completely devoid of “ego issues” and simply love to sing and play
with whoever will listen and join in.
L’hitra’ot (in the not-too-distant future),
